Make a Perfect Range Pker in Runescape

With the introduction of the new PvP and Bounty hunter worlds, PKing has changed a lot. In the past, you could attack anyone no matter what level they were. A level 126 could attack a level 60. However, this lead to a lot of RWT (Real World Trading), so JaGeX changed this. They introduced PvP worlds, where you could only attack people near you combat level. Here's how to take advantage of it.

A low Combat level

It's common knowledge that range does not level your combat much. According to the new PvP, a level 50 would only be able to attack people within the combat range of 39-61. So here I'm going to show how to create a range pure, with a deadly ranged attack, while keeping your combat level as low as possible.

Step 1

The first step to making a range pker giving it a cool and epic name. It's completely up to you to decide, but an epic name like r4ng3 pk u or d4rk r4ng3 will scare your opponent rather than a harmless name like bob233. I named my range pker sk r4ng3 pk.

Step 2

The second step is to ensure a way of income incase you lose your stuff. There are two options: Either get 60 woodcutting, or 40 crafting and 40 mining. 60 woodcutting will allow you to chop yew logs, a pretty decent way of income, while 40 mining allows you to mine gold ore. 40 crafting is optional, but it gives you access to the crafting guild, which contains 7 gold ores. Step 3

Okay, now that you have a good source of income (60 woodcutting or 40 mining) and hopefully an epic name, its time to get to the real business. You have to train your range pker to at least 60 range, although higher will be an advantage. For help on getting 60 range, click here.

Step 4

Now that you have 60 range, you must ensure that your attack, defense, strength, magic and prayer levels are at 1. The only combat levels you should have are 60 range and 48 hitpoints (approx). Training prayer is not advised as you will not be fighting very powerful enemies. Once that's done, head over to the G.E and buy the following things:

Coif
Amulet of power
Leather body OR monk robe top
Green d'hide chaps
Green d'hide vambraces
Any boots and cape
Maple shortbow
100-200 adamant arrows

Final words

Now you're all set to PK. You should be about level 50 if you followed the guide, and your max hit will be 10 with adamant arrows. Now you can easily hit those level 60 noobs who won't be expecting a fight from a level 50.
