This is a message to those of us in the runescape Saradominist camp

For the past few days, I have been doing the same as many of you, mining tears and competing with the opposing side in order to ensure victory for those beside me and the many I do not know. However, over the past few days, I have been noticing Saradomin has been gradually losing his lead over the amount of tears he possesses. I have tried explaining this to those around me in Runescape 3 Gold game, but many of them are so hypnotized by the current lead, that they cannot see that the foundation under them is being undermined.

Why does it matter?
To be frank, it is a rare bird that does not care if they lose in a task they set out to garner rewards from. While some may say they do not care, be honest with yourself. There are some who may have just chose a side, but it is likely that many chose what they believed would be the winning side. Heck, I saw a few people switch sides when they saw how "hopeless" it was. If you wanted to win, don't ignore the warning signs of impending failure. A less cynical answer is one that appeals to whatever bit of altruism that lurks inside of you. Try harder for those who did join the Saradomin side because they want to prosper, and they want the others around them, in their faction, to prosper as well. Remember, this is an MMO, and in this case, it is a world event. Your actions or lack thereof will affect more than just yourself this time. Enough of the attempts to convince you. Let me get down to the numbers.

We are losing our edge. The numbers tell us so.
This has been one of the biggest hurdles to cross while trying to convince people that something is happening. If you look at the number of tears which Saradomin is ahead by, on a day by day basis, we have certainly increased it. However, that is the wrong way to look at it. You need to observe the ratio of tears between each side to see what's really happening out there.

What can we do?

If you have read this far, and you have asked yourself this, I will have to disappoint you with the fact that there is no magic bullet, but there is a solution. Firstly, there seem to be a lot less players on the Zamorak side than there are on the Saradomin side; this begs the question "how are they chopping the lead apart like this?

1) They are recruiting more people to their side. I have been using the amount of Saradominist* that actually make it to the opposing side as a rough estimate of how many people are actively fighting for saradomin. Over the past few days, I have noticed less soldiers making it all the way over to be killed by Zamorak.

In response to this, get your friends who you are standin around chatting with. Bring them to the battle field and chat with them there. I hold large conversations with people, and I still mine 3k tears each day. The resource points take a long time to run out, usually. It's more than enough time to keep chatting and ensure victory.

2) Push harder and mine all 3k tears. I have noticed some of us complain and leave when we get to x2 or x1 bonus. We play runescape. Most of us have been playing for years and even longer. There has rarely been more than a 1 for 1 when we are skilling. When we mine a coal rock, we generally get 1 coal. When we chop a tree, we get one log per chop. Don't be disheartened because you lost your bonus. Remember who you are! You are a mindless scaper who is capable of mining and cutting wood from trees for hour on end, and usually you do it for little reward. The rewards for individuals and for all of those who follow saradomin promise to be great. Fight for your avarice, if nothing else.

3) Hold a conversation with a zamorakian. Get them talk, and get them distracted. Be so interesting that they forget what they are even supposed to be doing, but you should never lose focus that you are there to mine, cut, and fish tears.

4) Gather like minded friends who understand that the battle is being lost and continue to spread the word in game. One person saying "we're slowly losing" sounds like a mad person shouting in the woods. Most scapers suffer from crowd contagency. The more of us who are out there pointing out thatwe are losing, as well as discussing how we are losing serves to convince other and shame those who would sit on the sidelines and claim to not care about the outcome.
